Lamentos e Invenciones es una pieza instrumental dividida en seis partes que desarrollan una misma idea desembocándola en distintas orillas lastimeras. Así ordeno una serie de quejas irresolutas y arrepentimientos reiterados que llegan a un fin junto con la música (¡y tan solo con ella...!).

Una vez compuse las seis partes con su armonía y melodía principales Olivia Durand improvisó libremente, con su violin y voz, contrapuntos y ambientes de los que hice una selección y edición, así rescatando los momentos que me resultaron indispensables y organizándolos en un arreglo de violín y voz que no podría haber sido concebido de ninguna otra manera.

Originalmente la música fue compuesta para la adaptación cinematográfica de "El Diablo en el Cuerpo" escrita y dirigida conjuntamente por Pedro Otero y Daniel Rabal Davidov (que además actuó el papel principal en el corto). Aquí también os comparto algunas momentos de la adaptación que inspiraron profundamente la música y sin los que no se hubiera comenzado siquiera.

Mi predilección por Schubert y Mahler también inspiraró esta pieza.

Regrets and Inventions is an instrumental piece divided into six parts that develop the same idea, leading to different pitiful shores. Thus I order a series of unresolved complaints and repeated regrets that come to an end together with the music (and only with it...!).

My predilection of Schubert and Mahler influenced the compositions as well

Feat Olivia Durand :)

I made this album with the special help of Olivia Durand. I first composed the back bone of the tracks (harmonies and main melodies) with piano and guitar and then I had Olivia singing the laid out main melodies and improvising on the tracks with her voice and violin. After many takes I then chose the best moments and rearranged them on the track often repeating and editing parts to fit better. This resulted in what I deem a very special and organic result.

Originally the music was composed for the film adaptation of "The Devil In The Body" written and directed jointly by Pedro Otero and Daniel Rabal Davidov (who also played the main role in the short). Here I also share with you some moments of the adaptation that deeply inspired the music and without which it would not have even started.
